Climate Action with Every Purchase
Easy, Convenient, and Automatic climate action that:
- Is Affordable: you choose your impact amount, even if that’s Free.
- Goes Beyond Offsetting: enabled by cutting edge open banking and round-up technology, contribute to important causes like protecting our American forests and climate activism nonprofits.
- Does the work for you: your contributions go towards high quality carbon credits and researched, vetted climate activism non-profit organizations, so you can focus on engaging with the broader climate movement everyday.
How It Works:
1. Connect your account - we use Plaid to securely connect your financial information. Plaid is the leading open-banking software in the U.S., it’s what powers our favorite apps like Venmo & Acorns. Why connect your account? Your Carbon Intensity score shows you which expenses have the greatest impact on the climate.
2. Learn how to build more sustainable spending habits in what you buy, how much you buy, and where you buy from.
3. Turn on roundups to automatically contribute your spare change to fighting the climate crisis. You can choose the maximum amount you’d like to contribute each month. An average user contributes $11, but you always have the power to choose.
IvyCo is designed with four purposes in mind — Our "Theory of Change":
- Make prices for goods and services reflect their impact on the environment. (Someday, the government may require this; until then, IvyCo helps you get ahead of the curve.)
- Increase funding for decarbonization efforts. The systemic level of change we need will require a significant investment, and you can help make that happen.
- Encourage and help consumers make more sustainable spending decisions — Whether its by spending (and buying) less, using your money on greener products, or buying from sustainable companies.
- Pressure companies to accelerate their investment in sustainability.
